Nathan Lindley: Game Developer
"Stop 'Em, Slim!"
"Stop 'Em, Slim!" is a short little game I made during my XNA Game Programming course, which humorously enough began about one week after Microsoft announced it was dropping support for XNA.
You play as Slim the slime and must stop hordes of would-be fantasy heroes from attacking your master's lair. Each hero is weak to one of three spells in your arsenal, based on the color of their armor.
As a solo project, I did all the programming and spritework myself. The music was mostly obtained through OCRemix.com, sound effects came from RPGMakerXP, and the title and end-screens were a combination of RPGMaker assets, open-source clip-art, and stock photos.
Controls:
Jump with Spacebar
Shoot Fire spells with Z
Shoot Ice spells with X
Shoot Earth spells with C
The files for installing the game are currently hosted on Dropbox. You can find them here: Link
