Terrain Of Magical Expertise
Terrain of Magical Expertise is a game about a game! Take on the role of a White-Hat Hacker in this non-linear, story-driven, RPG adventure, featuring an original turn-based combat system, hundreds of unique enemies, and a full cast of voice actors. Do all it takes to win the Campaign of Champions!
I started work on this project as one of two programmers developing the demo for a Kickstarter campaign. During that time, my responsibilities were focused on the game's cutscene and field interaction systems, options menu, character creation system, setting up animation libraries and sprite collections, and the development of some enemy abilities. About halfway into the game's full development, our other programmer left the team to pursue an excellent opportunity with Epic Games, leaving me as the sole programmer on the team. This lead to me creating abilities and AI for the rest of the game's enemies, all remaining player character abilities, implementing two forms of mini-game battles, steam achievements, localization support, and peripheral support for ASUS's aura system. The game features over The game was developed in Unity3D and makes use of NodeCanvas, FlowCanvas, the GAF swf converter, DarkTonic's Master Audio, and other plug-ins.
TOME is fully voice acted, features over 100 unique enemies, and is out now for PC, available on Steam, the Epic Store, and GOG.
